Jordan: More hospitals in Irbid get ophthalmic equipment
|
The Diabetic Retinopathy Project in Irbid has supplied more ophthalmic equipment to more tertiary and secondary hospitals in
northern Jordan. Princess Basma Teaching Hospital Irbid, AlBasheer Hospital Amman and the following secondary hospitals
in northern Jordan C Ramtha, Yarmouk and Princess Raya Quora hospitals – received equipment which included visual
field machines, slit lamp microscope, A/B ultrasound scans, indirect ophthalmoscopes, etc.

Dedicated diabetic retinopathy clinic established in Princess Basma Teaching Hospital

A dedicated clinic for diabetic retinopathy care has been built and equipped at the Princess Basma
Teaching Hospital Irbid as part of the SiB Diabetic Retinopathy Project.
The clinic is equipped with both diagnostic and therapeutic sections so that patients can be consulted, assessed, investigated and
treated at the clinic. It is equipped with slit lamps, indirect ophthalmoscopes, fluorescein angiography , OCT and laser
machines, etc.
